JVL Partner Chad Soukup Elected to National Board of Directors

We’re proud to share that Chad Soukup, CFP®, CPA, CFA®, Partner at JVL Wealth Strategies, has been elected to the CFP Board of Directors. The CFP Board serves as the policymaking and oversight body for more than 106,000 CFP® professionals nationwide and has a critical role in advancing the financial planning profession in the public interest.

Chad is one of two new board members elected this year following a comprehensive national search and selection process. His three-year term will begin January 1, 2026, and continue through December 31, 2028.

Chad specializes in multigenerational wealth planning, developing comprehensive income and estate tax strategies, and helping families navigate the sale of their privately held business to family members, internal management, strategic buyers, and private equity. In addition to his role as Partner and Equity Owner at JVL Wealth Strategies, he serves as a lead client-facing advisor and the firm’s Chief Compliance Officer. Along with his CFP® certification and CFA® designation, Chad holds an active CPA license in Michigan. He earned his B.B.A. in Accounting and an M.B.A. with an emphasis on Accounting & Finance, both from Grand Valley State University.
